There's nothing like a sitcom concept whose time has come, which is why television households are being overrun this season with boomerang kids. But for Anthony Anderson, the idea of grown offspring returning home to live with mom and pop was torn from the pages of his diary, not a script treatment.

Canoga Park woman was killed early Thursday when her car was struck by a truck whose driver had run a red light, Los Angeles police said. Stephanie Huyuh Phan, 31, was northbound on De Soto Avenue when her car was hit at 3:35 a.m. by a truck driven by Anthony Anderson, who was eastbound on Oxnard Street, police said. Anderson, 18, was taken to Canoga Park Hospital with a separated shoulder and a cut lip and scalp.
