An anti-crime group is offering a reward for information about a daylight attack on a city official from Artesia. Maria Dadian, 47, assistant city manager, was beaten into unconsciousness during a robbery on a downtown street. She suffered severe facial and head injuries. The attacker is described as an African American male, 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 5 and weighing between 245 and 285 pounds. He was wearing knee-length shorts and a white athletic team jersey, witnesses said.
