What a difference a baby makes. Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared Tuesday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," scaling back her signature va-va voom look to ma-ma-mommy chic. The newly blond "Client List" star welcomed her daughter Autumn in November, just after tying the knot with her costar baby daddy-turned-fiance-turned-husband, Brian Hallisay. The bombshell appeared on "Ellen" sporting a new hairstyle to get her "momjo" back, according to People. But that wasn't the only aspect of character's call-girl look that was significantly altered.

Spring in Southern California means some of the world's tiniest birds build some of the world's dinkiest nests. Female hummingbirds gather moss, plant down and other materials and, using sticky spider silk, fashion a nest the size of a ping-pong ball. It can rest securely on a very  slender tree limb. But hummingbirds have been known to nest in railings, beneath bird baths , on wind chimes and cactuses . Los Angeles Times photographer Irfan Khan found this hummingbird nest at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia.

SAN DIEGO -- More improvement was reported Tuesday from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in the saga of gorilla Imani and her 13-day-old baby. Both have had their medical challenges. And on Tuesday, they walked into their outdoor exhibit with other gorillas -- an adult male, three adult females, and two young males -- watching from a distance.

When I was a kid I didn't want to wear glasses because I was afraid people would make fun of me and call me “four eyes.” Now I'm an adult, and for $1,500 (or so), soon I will be able to buy a pair of Google Glass - and then I can have people make fun of me, or, worse, beat me up. It's called, uh, progress. Of course, Google Glass aren't glasses, although yes, they look like glasses. No, Google Glass are wearable computers. (Fortunately, they're light; imagine having to tote an original IBM PC around on one's head!
