Viewers will find a lot to debate in Lana Del Rey's new “Tropico” video in terms of interpreting the heavy symbolism that ripples through the 27-minute short film directed by Anthony Mandler. But the ambition in this extended morality play about love, lust and loss of innocence is hard to deny, as it invokes multiple religious and pop culture figures in exploring the extremes of human experience. It opens with figures representing Jesus, Elvis Presley, John Wayne and Marilyn Monroe in a wide-open landscape that soon sets the stage for Del Rey and her albino love interest, played by Shaun Ross, to act out the bible's Garden of Eden story.

Justin Timberlake said adieu to his single life on Thursday in Las Vegas, as the actor-singer was spotted with a crew of friends celebrating what appeared to be his bachelor party. Kicking off at the Wynn's Sinatra Restaurant, JT and a group of about 25 guys decked out in Rat Pack-esque suits for a meal, according to a Ministry source - more than appropriate as the joint is described as a culinary tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes. Heading to the hotel's Surrender nightclub just before midnight, Timberlake and company climbed out of their formal wear and into bathing suits, splashing in a private infinity pool within a reserved cabana.  Timberlake sipped on 901 tequila, his own brand, while his party opted for vodka and Red Bull.

A genial "Hangover" for the AARP set, "Last Vegas" is roughly what you'd expect, or fear, but a little better. The four stars of the thing, born between 1937 and 1947, are Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline. The set-up: Lifelong Flatbush-born pals reunite for the bachelor party of the Douglas character, a Malibu slicko marrying a much younger woman. Old grudges reignite; new hijinks (bikini-contest judging, fistfights with twerps one-third their age) ensue; a tax attorney turned Vegas lounge singer (?

"Very Bad Things" is a lamentable film whose woeful qualities are heightened by the smugness and self-satisfaction of its creators. The unhappy writing and directing debut of actor Peter Berg, this sour item will undoubtedly wear its negative reviews as badges of honor, marks of having been too real, too honest and, most important, way too hip and trendy for the uninitiated to appreciate. The opposite is closer to the truth.

A normally busy stretch of the 73 toll road in coastal Orange County will be closed this weekend for filming of "The Hangover Part 3," a deal that is drawing thumbs-down reviews from some. "I think that it's another example of a state agency that just does what it wants without understanding what it does to a local community," said Costa Mesa City Councilman Steve Mensinger. "Clearly," he added, "the state doesn't care what happens in local communities. " The three-mile section of California 73 from the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa to Jamboree Road in Newport Beach serves as a gateway for southbound traffic in the county.

Amid all the debris of "The Hangover," and it is considerable -- the tooth, the Taser, the tiger, the puke, the police, the stripper, the shots and so very much more -- there is a sort of perverse brilliance or brilliant perverseness to be found in this story of a bachelor party gone terribly wrong. The basic conceit is nothing new: Guys go to Vegas to give groom one last night of debauched fun.

Turns out Cinderella wears hockey skates after all. L.A. Live exploded in celebration Monday night, the Kings' 19-year rebuilding plan finally coming to fruition. And their fans to full ignition. Boisterous and beery-eyed, they took to the streets surrounding Staples Center, hugging, high-fiving, even crying as they celebrated something their sports-obsessed city has never had: an NHL championship. OK, Kings fans, you can exhale now. Your Cup runneth over. The celebration - and I knew you'd worry - was fervent but largely peaceful, at least in the initial 90 minutes.

Mazel tov, England. As your former suburb, we just want you to know how enchanted we are with what's happening over there right now between William and Catherine (a.k.a. Kate). We hear there'll be some sort of ceremony soon. The world will pause. Hearts will flutter. I'll eat a turtle dove -- extra fries. For a moment, the British Empire will shine once more. And, through it all, America will have wedding envy. What's wedding envy? That's when someone has a bigger wedding than yours.
