After several outings fishing for buyers, actor David Spade has parted with his beach house in Malibu. The sales price has yet to appear in public records, but Zillow reports the La Costa Beach two-story sold for $10.25 million. Built in 1996, the house features a cylindrical staircase, four fireplaces and beach-facing balconies and decks. The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home of more than 3,700 square feet sits on a quarter-acre lot with a pool. Spade, 49, starred as single friend Russell on the romantic comedy "Rules of Engagement" (2007-13)

The longtime Malibu home of the late comedian Dick Martin and his actress wife, Dolly, is for sale at $11.5 million. The Cape Cod-inspired beach house, built in 1946, has unobstructed ocean views and a wooden walkway that leads to the sand. Features of the one-bedroom house include vaulted ceilings, brick fireplaces, French doors, a beach-facing deck and a wine cellar. There are four bathrooms and 2,551 square feet of living space. A self-contained guest house, separated from the main house by a rose garden and fruit trees, has a fireplace and an open-beam ceiling.

Screenwriter Melissa Mathison has sold her Malibu home for $9.6 million to commercial real estate developer and USC benefactor Sonny Astani. The Zen-inspired home, built in 1973, incorporates fireplace stone, Balinese wood and other materials gathered from around the world by earlier owner Gail Zappa, wife of the late musician Frank Zappa. The 3,940-square-foot home contains six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The property has 84 feet of ocean bluff frontage and deeded beach access.

Lauren Conrad has listed a bluff-top home in Laguna Beach's Three Arch Bay area at $2.795 million. Set on a cul-de-sac two doors from the bluff, the Cape Cod-inspired home was built in 1966 and recently remodeled. The 2,280 square feet of living space has a shabby-chic beach house vibe with bleached walnut floors, light-colored interiors and lots of natural light. There is an entry, a great room with a fireplace, a dining room, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. A front deck has what's known in real estate circles as a “peek-a-boo” view of the ocean.

Grace Bradley Boyd, an actress who came to Hollywood as a Paramount contract player in the early 1930s but abandoned her career after marrying the love of her life, William "Hopalong Cassidy" Boyd, has died. She was 97. Boyd, the keeper of the "Hoppy" flame after the death of her western movie-hero husband of 35 years in 1972, died of age-related causes on her birthday Tuesday at her home in Dana Point, said Jane Mak, a longtime close friend. As Grace Bradley, Boyd appeared in 35 films, including "Too Much Harmony," starring Bing Crosby; "The Big Broadcast of 1938," with W.C. Fields and Bob Hope; and "Come on Marines" with Richard Arlen and Ida Lupino.

Actor-comedian Jim Carrey has sold his gated Malibu Colony retreat for $13.4 million. The two-story contemporary beach house features an open plan living room, family room, dining room and kitchen that lead to an ocean-facing deck. There are fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom for a total of five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and 2,866 square feet of living space. A spa sits on the rooftop deck. Carrey, 51, has starred in such films as "Ace Ventura" and its sequels, "The Truman Show" (1998)

After a couple of years and price cuts, actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have closed up their longtime Malibu beach house, selling it for $9.5 million. Entered through a gated courtyard, the Balinese-inspired house backs up to sand dunes and the ocean. The 4,200-square-foot house, built in 1978, was redesigned and renovated in 2005. There is a screening room, an office and a detached guesthouse. The master suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and a beachfront balcony for a total of four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

A beach house owned by the late entertainment lawyer Harold Berkowitz is on the market in Malibu at $13.9 million. The Mediterranean house has 40 feet of beachfront and a raised deck for taking in the ocean views. The master bedroom suite includes a sitting area, a fireplace and dual bathrooms. Two detached guesthouses have kitchenettes and boost the listing to a total of five bedrooms and 61/2 bathrooms. Berkowitz, who died in last year at 92, was known for his negotiation skills.

A gated Mediterranean owned by actor Pierce Brosnan has come on the market in Malibu at $3.9 million. Designed as an artist's retreat, the two-story beach house includes a separate space that can be used as an office or media room. The living room has soaring wood-beam ceilings, walls of glass, a fireplace, plank oak flooring, built-in cabinetry and two balconies with ocean and mountain views. Skylights and picture windows bring light into the kitchen. The master suite includes a sitting area, balconies and a bathroom fireplace.

In Venice, 25-year-old Snapchat co-founder Bobby Murphy has bought a new two-bedroom house for $2.1 million, or nearly double the median price of homes in the neighborhood. A few blocks away, a three-bedroom town house with a rooftop sun deck was just rented for $7,000 a month - a year ago, an identical unit was renting for $5,900. "Totally Silicon Beach living," the ad on Craigslist proclaimed. And farther south in Marina del Rey, hundreds of apartments were recently completed and aimed at drawing the tech crowd, with high-speed Internet in every unit, free Wi-Fi in common areas and an online application process.

Kris Jenner and husband Bruce Jenner have reportedly separated and have kept the news quiet for almost a year. The Kardashian momager, 57, and former Olympian, 63, issued a statement Tuesday to several publications announcing their decision to split after 22 years of marriage. "We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" stars told E! News in a statement. The Bob Hope and Dolores Hope estate in Toluca Lake is for sale at $27.5 million. The compound is made up of four parcels totaling 5.15 acres of land and includes a 14,876 main house, a two-bedroom guesthouse, a two-bedroom staff quarters and offices. Built in 1939 for the Hopes, the original traditional house was designed by Robert Finkelhor. The Hopes hired John Elgin Woolf to remodel and update the house in the 1950s. Walls of glass in the living room overlook the grounds.

Robert Pattinson, who stars as a vampire in the “Twilight” films, is quietly shopping his Los Feliz house for sale at $6.75 million, The Times has confirmed. Word surfaced last week at Real Estalker that the actor is having the 1922 Spanish Colonial estate marketed outside the Multiple Listing Service. Features of the 4,026-square-foot home include antiqued tile and stone, hand-carved wood and stenciled ceilings, according to details from an earlier listing. The 1.5-acre property features a swimming pool, waterfalls and fountains.

Rita Rudner has applied her considerable comedic talents to the marketing of her Dana Point beach house and the result is a one-of-a-kind video. Who else would include a free tissue with the purchase of a five-bedroom, five-bathroom house priced at $8.975 million? Her husband, director-writer Martin Bergman, featured the Monarch Bay home in the 2011 film “Thanks,” in which Rudner acted. But Rudner may have her own hit on her hands with her YouTube parody . Think movie previews and red-carpet events. Nothing draws interest quite like exclusivity in this town. Here's my insider experience: Turning onto a side street off Sunset Strip I left my car with the valet service and was greeted by about a half-dozen young men in suits with matching iPads bearing the name “The Agency.” One of these real estate agents, whose company is marketing the estate for sale, checked me off the guest list,  and I moved to the driveway where a trio of Lamborghinis from a local dealer caught the eyes of passersby.

Hall, who starred on "Dexter," has listed the Ronald Colman estate home in Hollywood Hills for sale at $2.35 million.   Designed and built in 1926 for Colman, a British actor who straddled the silent and talking film eras, the Spanish-style estate features a main house, guest house and tennis court-turned-garden on a third of an acre. Features of the walled property include a courtyard garden and outdoor dining area, a media room, a wine room, five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and 4,600 square feet of living space.
