Anymatic, the Santa Monica company behind a line of locally made custom-printed yoga mats (Yogamatic.com) and board shorts (Shortomatic.com), has finally gone to pieces - as in two-piece bathing suits. Just in time for swimsuit season, the online-only company has launched Kinimatic.com, a website that will allow customers to upload the photographs or artwork of their choosing (or select from a gallery of limited-edition artwork) and have it printed on two styles of bikini top (bandeau or triangle, $49.50 each)

That would be the 7th annual Vegas Uncork'd sponsored by the magazine Bon Appétit . They've got some 28 events going on over the four-day event. Nine of them have just been announced today, including Master Series Dinners with Gordon Ramsay ($275) and Nobu Matsuhisa ($275) and a chance to sample dishes for soon-to-open PUB 1842 with Michael Mina ($115)

In the new film "Love Crime," actress Ludivine Sagnier plays a meek junior financial executive steamrollered by a powerful superior (Kristin Scott Thomas) who frequently takes credit for her ideas. Now the Japanese automaker, known for its conservative cars, is leveraging Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue published Tuesday and smartphone technology to juice up the advertising for its new Lexus IS here in the U.S. In a print ad it calls “Blend Out,” Toyota said it cast three swimsuit models to pose with the Lexus IS and “camouflaged the models within the scene - actually making them part of the set design.” Readers can use smartphones to scan a QR code on the ad so that “when they place their phones on the page, the models come to life, walking out from the background and revealing themselves in their swimsuits.” The QR code triggers a video of the sexy models cavorting next to the new IS. The viewer can slide the phone to the next model in the advertisement and see her dancing, too. It's pretty racy for a brand whose average buyer age is well into the 50s, especially considering that about half of IS sales are to women.

Kate Middleton and Prince William's recent baby-moon in Mustique wasn't as relaxing as they might have hoped. The Duchess of Cambridge, 31, whose baby is expected in July, was photographed bikini-clad on the private Caribbean island and showing her new and very slight baby bump . The images are expected to be published in an upcoming issue of the Italian magazine Chi, which also published topless photos of Middleton last September. A statement from St. James's Palace said that the royal family is "disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas.

When it comes to bikini models, Fiat has trumped Toyota. It was a surprise earlier this year when the conservative Toyota Motor Corp. used a bikini model in an overseas television commercial selling its Auris, a Corolla variant not sold in the U.S.  The model - nude save for an open jacket and a skimpy bikini bottom - is seen strutting toward the new car.  The model then turns around and viewers discover it's a he rather than a she.
