Bristol Palin is defending her 3-year-old son, Tripp, after a filmed tantrum on an episode of the family reality show "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp" showed the boy dropping a censored F-bomb. While the initial controversy surrounded the perception that the boy said a homophobic slur, Palin maintains the boy said a different kind of F-word that was offensive but less slurr-y. "As I've said before, I sometimes struggle to raise Tripp," Palin wrote on Monday. "However, he does NOT use slurs ... Let me be clear.  I'm not proud of what he did say. Sadly, he used a different 'f word.' " In the scene, Tripp throws a fit after being told he can't go for a swim in a hotel pool.

Steel your hearts, ladies: Levi Johnston is officially a married man. That's right, Bristol Palin's baby daddy took himself off the market Sunday evening in Alaska when he tied the knot with second baby mama Sunny Oglesby, according to published reports. "Congrats to my Brother Levi and his lovely bride Sunny!" Johnston's sister Mercede tweeted Sunday before posting pics of the bride and groom. Johnston, whose whirlwind trip through tabloid fame included a trip to the Republican National Convention, posing for Playgirl and being engaged for a time to Palin - "We still hate each other," he's said - welcomed baby girl Breeze Beretta with Oglesby in September.

Bristol Palin is learning Rule No. 1 of being a blogger: If you're going to dish it out, you gotta be able to take it. Palin is being blasted for ridiculing President Obama this week on her Patheos blog, and how he came to change his position on same-sex marriage in part by reflecting on the life experiences of his young daughters, Sasha and Malia, who have friends with same-sex parents. The post headlined "Hail to the Chiefs -- Malia and Sasha Obama" doesn't explicitly outline Palin's position on same-sex marriage.

Could “Dancing With the Stars” finally be losing its luster? Monday's premiere of the long-running ABC competition series was down 32% from last year - and all this despite months of heavy promotion and an “all star” cast including Bristol Palin and Pamela Anderson. It also finished well behind NBC's younger-skewing “The Voice” in key demographics, but the news for “Dancing” wasn't all bad: The show drew 14.6 million total viewers, versus 11.9 million for “The Voice,” easily making it Monday's top entertainment draw.

The unreality of reality television meets the unreliable narratives of the Palin Saga in a new series, "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp. " Premiering Tuesday on Lifetime, into whose Woman Against the Odds ethos it vaguely fits, it follows the young mother and"Dancing With the Stars" contestant from Alaska to Los Angeles - and, indications are, back again - with her toddler son in tow. Bristol Palin's not expecting her new reality show to change hearts and minds, folks - all that trash-talking actually motivates her to “want to do more and want to speak up even louder,” she said Monday. “The people that don't like me, I'm not trying to change their opinion on it,” the 21-year-old said on “Good Morning America,” speaking ahead of next week's “ Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp ” premiere. “But it's going to be a good show.” The eldest daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was thrust awkwardly - and unwed-pregnantly - into the spotlight in 2008 when her mom was Sen. John McCain's vice presidential running mate, said she's excited for audiences to finally see the “real” Bristol, someone she says is “a grounded, normal mom.” Indeed, the young woman who had few words during “Dancing With the Stars” appears to have been replaced by someone more confident, at least during the “Good Morning America” interview (watch it below)

Bristol Palin wants to make it clear: Yes, her 3-year-old son, Tripp, used an F-word. But it wasn't that F-word, the gay slur, it was the other F-word, currently available in any fast-food line, movie-theater queue or family snowmobile gathering. Noting on her blog that the Huffington Post was reporting Tripp had used the gay slur on camera, the mini mama grizzly explained what had happened. (You can watch Bristol and her sister's reaction to the verbal slip in the "Life's a Tripp" video clip below.)

Since his days on "Friends,"Matthew Perry has been drawn toward roles with a bit of an edge. "I've gravitated toward broken characters who try to be better people," Perry said. It's a strategy that has not exactly worked for the actor. His last series, "Mr. Sunshine,"about the put-upon manager of a San Diego arena, flopped on ABC. And "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," where he played the intense executive producer-head writer of a network comedy-variety show, also stalled. But he has higher hopes for his new NBC show,"Go On," even though he's again tackling an edgy character: a sports talk radio host who wants to go back to work not long after the sudden death of his wife.
