The King wants his crown back: Fast-food chain Burger King is continuing its reinvention by planning to go public - again. Within the next three months, the hamburger giant said it will re-list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange. The last time Burger King traded publicly was from 2006 to 2010, when investment firm 3G Capital took it over for a whopping $3.3 billion and turned it private. In a bit of a convoluted deal, 3G said late Tuesday that it is selling a 29% stake in the Miami-based restaurant to London-based acquisition company Justice Holdings.

Craving a Whopper but tied to your desk? Burger King Corp. is starting to offer a delivery option in a limited East Coast test. And especially writer-director John Milius. He's been immortalized in the hotel restaurant with a six-inch high, three-pound "Milius Burger" ("pork-free hamburger upon request").

Burger King is getting healthier -- or so the fast-food chain would have you believe. BK has unveiled a new menu that includes 10 dishes it says will appeal to diet- and fitness-conscious consumers. These taste treats include Caesar salads, smoothies and wraps. Burger King Worldwide Inc. is once again public, debuting Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange. Less than two years after 3G Capital Management took the fast-food chain private, ticker symbol BKW is trading on Wall Street -- and not doing too badly. After opening at $14.50, the stock saw as much as an 11.8% increase and, nearing midway through the trading session, was hovering around $15 a share. Burger King has come a long way since 2010, when it was struggling to stay hip and keep pace with McDonald's, behind which it is perennially ranked.
