Shatarka Nuby just wanted to be pretty. She longed to fill out her jeans, to look curvier in her bikini, so she sought out a man with a syringe who said he could sell her the body she wanted for $1,000. In her bedroom in South Florida, witnesses later told police, Nuby handed Oneal Ron Morris a wad of cash and stretched out on her stomach. Morris plunged a syringe filled with clear liquid into Nuby's hips and buttocks, the onlookers said. Her skin began to rise under the needle.

Here are two variations of back arches that will help counter the effects of rounded shoulders. Slouching tends to shorten the muscles in the front of your body and can overstretch the muscles in the back. These moves reverse that action and help improve your posture. Lie face-down on a mat. Bend your knees and bring your heels toward your buttocks. Reach back and grasp each ankle with the same-side's hand. Keep your heels close together and your knees parallel to each other as you inhale and raise your chest and legs away from the floor.

When you first start practicing this exercise, don't expect to lift your arms and legs very high. But even raising them just a few inches is beneficial. -- Karen Voight 1Lie face down on a mat or padded surface, extending both arms overhead on the floor and straightening your legs behind you with your inner ankles facing each other. Raise your head, shoulder and right arm (thumb pointed up, palm facing in)

Back from his self-imposed exile in Miami, Manny Ramirez worked out at Dodger Stadium on Monday for the first time since being suspended for violating baseball's drug policy, a Dodgers spokesman confirmed. Ramirez hit, ran, threw and did some strength training at the ballpark, from which he had kept his distance until Monday. When he and Dodgers owner Frank McCourt met this month, they did so at Ramirez's apartment in Pasadena.

This exercise combines movements to target your arm, abdominal, buttock and thigh muscles all at once. Don't be surprised if one leg is harder to balance on than the other -- we all have a more dominant side. That's why it's important to train them equally. -- Karen Voight 1 Begin by standing with feet together and hands at your sides. Lunge back with your left leg, bending both knees to 90 degrees. Make sure your right knee is directly above your right ankle.
