Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum marked Father's Day on Sunday by sharing a too-cute picture of their baby girl, Everly. "First Father's Day with our lil angel!," Jenna said on her Facebook page, while Channing wrote on his , "First Father's Day with my girls!" The photo was a crowd-pleaser, earning more than 1.3 million likes on his page alone by Monday. Everly, born May 31 in London, is the couple's first child - but unlikely to be their last.  "The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we'll see where we go after that," the World's Sexiest Man 2012 told People last November, before the pregnancy was announced the next month.

Hong Kong martial arts superstar Jackie Chan has made more than 100 films, including his 1978 breakthrough, “Drunken Master,” and the “Rush Hour” trilogy of comedy-action blockbusters with Chris Tucker that have grossed nearly $900 million internationally. His defy-defying stunts have astonished audiences. But after enduring decades of severe injuries including broken and dislocated bones and a near suffocation from a throat wound on  "The Young Master," Chan announced last fall that "Chinese Zodiac 2012" would be his last martial-arts action film.

Channing Tatum is taking names in his upcoming action flick "White House Down," but off-screen he's talking about how he and wife Jenna Dewan Tatum hold things down at their house and the secret to a happy marriage. "You have to want it," the 33-year-old says in Cosmopolitan's July issue. "Jenna's and my thing is checking in with each other all the time, like 'On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you love me right now?' And you gotta be honest, and you've got to want an honest answer.

There is pure class, and then there is Fernando Tatis. Tatis offers a perfect example how easily Twitter can be abused. Or how easy it is to make yourself look like a clown in 140 characters or less. Tatis is the St. Louis Cardinals third baseman who famously hit two grand slams off Chan Ho Park at Dodger Stadium in the same inning in 1999. It was, in fact, on this date 14 years ago that Tatis became the first major leaguer to accomplish the feat. It was something, and it helped him move on to what easily became a career year.

Times reporter Frank Shyong and attorney David Chan will join L.A. Now Live at 9 a.m. Tuesday to discuss Chan's culinary journey to 6,297 Chinese restaurants .  Chan, a third-generation Chinese American, has been keeping track of every Chinese restaurant he's dined at since the early 1980s. He grew up with little to no knowledge of his culture, and eating Chinese food became a way of discovering it. Chan's appetite helped him discover unique slices of Chinese American immigrant life all over the nation.

Django Unchained Weinstein/Anchor Bay, $29.98; Blu-ray, $39.99 Available on VOD beginning Tuesday Typical of Quentin Tarantino, this Deep South "western" is strong stuff, telling the epic story of an escaped slave (played by Jamie Foxx) on a quest for over-the-top bloody revenge on his wife's owner (Leonardo DiCaprio), with the help of a gentlemanly bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz, in a role that won him his second Oscar). Atypical of Tarantino, "Django" stumbles down the stretch, as the filmmaker who usually excels at endings settles into one apocalyptic shootout after another, with numbing results.

A few years ago, the idea of Channing Tatum as an A-lister was about as plausible as the USC men's basketball team winning the national championship. Here was a guy who worked a lot, sure; he was a favorite of a wide range of directors who liked his can-do attitude. And Tatum had a low-key likability on screen and a certain presence, if a mild one, on the talk-show circuit. But bring in the big bucks on an opening weekend? I mean, this is the guy from “Step Up,” right? But it's getting harder to argue against Tatum's drawing power.

Who, oh who, will save the Joes while they're out saving the world? No one apparently. To borrow from Jack in the Box, "G. I. Joe: Retaliation" is one hot mess. Waiting didn't help. The decision to push the film from last summer into this year was theoretically to allow the filmmakers to convert it to 3-D and quietly beef up the role for the suddenly hot Channing Tatum. It's easy to understand the thinking. In addition to last year's winning streak in "Magic Mike," "21 Jump Street" and "The Vow," the actor has five films out this year.
