For the first time in 18 years, the city's two public libraries plan to offer patrons Sunday hours, starting in January. The Mesa Verde and downtown branches would be open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. A $68,547 grant from the county and reshuffling of hours on other days should make the changes possible, officials said. Also in the proposal are plans to boost the Thursday schedule, now 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., to 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
