Six commercial real estate brokerages that specialize in serving corporate tenants, including Brentwood-based Metrospace, have merged in an effort to improve the services and marketability of the nationwide Commercial Real Estate Service Alliance (Cresa). The merged company, called Cresa Partners, is the latest product of rapid consolidation within the commercial real estate services arena.

Cresa Partners, a Boston-based commercial real estate brokerage with offices in Southern California, said Kevin J. Hayes is now chief executive. Hayes was head of Cresa's Orange County branch and will continue to operate from Newport Beach. Cresa did not have a CEO, Chairman Bill Goade said. Hayes, 49, came to the company last year when he led the conversion of his office from an outpost of competitor Staubach Co. to Cresa.

Brokers at the Orange County branch of Staubach Co., the commercial real estate company founded by football legend Roger Staubach, are changing teams. Staubach's corporate services division in the Newport Beach office will become part of New York-based Cresa Partners next month, said Kevin Hayes, president and owner of Staubach Co. West.
