Damon Wayans is betting people will fire up their computers to watch videos about an African American leprechaun pimp, a thieving airport security guard and an adulterous Burger King. Later this month, the comedian of "In Living Color" and "My Wife and Kids" fame plans to launch a website, WayOutTV.com, featuring videos produced by aspiring young comedians he handpicked.

It appears that Homey D. Clown still has a few tricks up his sleeve. You remember Homey -- the nutty street clown on the comedy show "In Living Color" who kept kiddies at birthday parties in line by whomping them over the head with a heavy sock and saying, "Homey, don't play that." The character disappeared when the show's run ended in 1994, but the guy who portrayed him, Damon Wayans, is still around.

Remember Kanye West's infamous line about President Bush and black people? Damon Wayans has a similar take on another constituency. "Black people don't care about the Grammys," the comic and actor said. "Not at all. We really don't watch the Grammys." Uh, seriously? "Yes, I am serious. For us, we don't really care if Garth Brooks or whoever wins for cowboy of the year and all that. The show is boring."

The TRICKIEST part of trying to take the measure of a comic such as Damon Wayans is that it's hard to know what part of a radically disparate career to look at first. He burst onto the pop culture scene as a fired "Saturday Night Live" player who joined his family in building their own celebrated, politically incorrect comedy sketch show, "In Living Color," for Fox. Then, earlier this decade he buckled down to star as suburban dad Michael Kyle for five years on the made-for-mainstream-consumption ABC sitcom "My Wife and Kids."
