Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers, who has played in only five games, will miss the remainder of the season after opting to have surgery on his injured left knee. The All-Star small forward, who has averaged 18.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game in his eight-year career, missed the start of the season after having surgery in October for patellar tendinosis. Granger returned to action as a reserve on Feb. 25 but played an average of 14.8 minutes in five games before soreness prevented him from making a full comeback.

INDIANA AT MIAMI 3 p.m. PDT Sunday. TV: None. Winners of 17 consecutive games, Miami is wiping away some of its smudges from earlier in the season while it cleans up on the rest of the NBA. Last week, the Heat posted a resounding comeback victory against New York after previously suffering a pair of 20-point defeats against the Knicks. Now the Heat looks to improve on its 0-2 record against Indiana, widely perceived as the only realistic challenger to the defending NBA champions in the Eastern Conference.

The PGA Tour season finally got underway Monday, and Dustin Johnson wasted no time taking control in the Tournament of Champions at Kapalua, Hawaii. Johnson had not played the Plantation Course at Kapalua since Thursday. Once he got started, he hardly missed a shot. Johnson had seven putts at eagle over 36 holes, four on the back nine alone in the second round. He missed only three greens in regulation. And when his marathon day ended, he had rounds of 69-66 for a three-shot lead over defending champion Steve Stricker.

Indiana Pacer Danny Granger is looking to complete an off-court move called the house flip. He bought the Hollywood Hills home of "The Vampire Diaries" screenwriter Kevin Williamson four months ago for $3.715 million and recently put it back on the market at $4.195 million. The sleek contemporary, built in 1990, features walls of glass, 15-foot-tall ceilings and wrap-around terraces. Designed for entertaining, the house sits on more than a half-acre with a pool area bar and a swimming pool.
