Indiana Pacer Danny Granger is looking to complete an off-court move called the house flip. He bought the Hollywood Hills home of "The Vampire Diaries" screenwriter Kevin Williamson four months ago for $3.715 million and recently put it back on the market at $4.195 million. The sleek contemporary, built in 1990, features walls of glass, 15-foot-tall ceilings and wrap-around terraces. Designed for entertaining, the house sits on more than a half-acre with a pool area bar and a swimming pool.

The Clippers know that their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Staples Center on Wednesday night is important. "It's a big game," Blake Griffin said Tuesday before practice. "You can't really dance around that. They are right in front of us. But at the same time, it's still going to go up to another level in the playoffs. It's not going to be quite like it is in the playoffs, but it will be an intense game. " If the Clippers defeat the Thunder, Los Angeles still has a chance to move past Oklahoma City in the ultra-competitive Western Conference.

With Clippers Coach Doc Rivers not at practice Friday because of what the team called “personal reasons,” no one else was willing to talk around Danny Granger signing with the team. That's because Granger won't officially be a member of the Clippers until he clears waivers at 2 p.m. West Coast time Friday and signs with them. Granger and Rivers met Thursday night in Los Angeles, and it was then that the small forward decided he wanted to play for the Clippers. Granger was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, making him a free agent who can sign with any team.

The Clippers lost their season opener to the Lakers by 13 points. In the next two games against the Lakers, the Clippers won by 36 points and 48 points. The 48-point margin of victory was the largest in Clippers' franchise history and the largest loss in Lakers' history. "Obviously that was a huge wakeup call for us, that first game," Paul said. "It's funny because Doc [Rivers ] says it to us just about every game. You're just not going to walk in there and win just because you've got Clippers going across your shirt.

Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers, who has played in only five games, will miss the remainder of the season after opting to have surgery on his injured left knee. The All-Star small forward, who has averaged 18.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game in his eight-year career, missed the start of the season after having surgery in October for patellar tendinosis. Granger returned to action as a reserve on Feb. 25 but played an average of 14.8 minutes in five games before soreness prevented him from making a full comeback.

The Clippers got closer to full strength Thursday with the return of J.J. Redick, but it may be the closest they get for a while. Coach Doc Rivers said Jamal Crawford and Danny Granger may not come back before the postseason from injuries that have sidelined them since late last month. The Clippers have five games left in the regular season after playing the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night. "I'd be surprised if we saw either one of them until the playoffs, maybe," Rivers said.

Seventy-seven games and a Pacific division title into this season and Clippers Coach Doc Rivers is still learning about who and what he has - and how far this team might go. He knows tendencies and traits from watching slumps and hot streaks. He has collected cold, hard facts by observing players' reactions to adversity and good times. The picture is becoming clearer for Rivers, but it still wasn't complete after a late push by the Clippers fell agonizingly short in a 113-107 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday at Staples Center.

PHOENIX - Jared Dudley had started the first 29 regular-season games for the Clippers, struggling to find his way before eventually losing his small forward position to Matt Barnes on Jan. 20 at Detroit. Now Dudley is in the midst of just trying to get some playing time, but even with limited minutes, he hasn't complained. "You just got to stay ready," Dudley said. "I just think my game is suited for the playoffs. When you have two or three days to prepare for a guy, you know what you're going to get from me. " Things got worse for Dudley when the Clippers signed free-agent Danny Granger, who just happened to play the same small forward position as Dudley.

HOUSTON  - Even as the Clippers try to prepare for the playoffs that they will be in for the third consecutive season, it's not an easy task. It's a difficult challenge for the Clippers because of the uncertainly of whom they might face in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The Clippers, who have eight regular-season games left, could play any of four teams in the West because of all the jockeying that's still going on for playoff positions. Because things are so fluid, Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said he now looks at the West standings more than he did in the past.

They both finally got an extended taste of playing time Thursday night, Danny Granger and Glen Davis showing why the Clippers acquired both free-agent forwards. But Granger and Davis also showed they still are rounding into shape. "They both looked good," Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said about the two playing against the Lakers. "Baby's (Davis) lungs exploded at some point so we had to take him out. "Danny, he played really well in the first half. It's just going to be a rhythm thing for him. It's going to take a while.

The Indiana Pacers need to find a long-term replacement for Danny Granger. Team officials announced Wednesday that the one-time All-Star forward is expected to miss up to three months after receiving an injection in his left knee to treat patellar tendinosis. Losing Granger for an extended period is a big blow for a team that entered this season hoping to contend for an Eastern Conference title. He was the Pacers' top scorer last season (18.7 points) and is typically their first option in late-game situations too. Granger originally hurt the knee during May's playoff run. Coach Frank Vogel said the soreness dissipated for a while, then returned while Granger was working out during the off-season.

This week the Clippers showed they have become the destination of choice for top free agents. On Friday afternoon the Clippers signed veteran free-agent small forward Danny Granger, after he was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. It was the team's second notable pickup of the week. The Clippers signed free-agent power forward Glen Davis on Monday after he'd been waived by the Orlando Magic. By getting both Granger and Davis, the Clippers filled their most pressing need by improving their frontcourt.
