Data Processing Resources Corp., which provides information technology staffing services, posted record net income for the fiscal year on a 98% gain in revenue. The company said it earned $6.7 million, or 71 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended July 31, more than double the net income of $3.3 million, or 54 cents a share, recorded a year ago. Revenue rose to $115 million from $58.1 million. The company said it acquired four staffing firms during the fiscal year.

Data Processing Resources Corp. said it has obtained a commitment from Wells Fargo Bank N.A. to provide the company with a $50-million credit line. Data Processing, a provider of information technology staffing services, said it expects to use borrowings to finance its acquisition program, new branch expansion, investments in its management information systems, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.

Revenue rose to $31.4 million from $14.8 million. The current year's figures include a full quarter of results from two acquisitions. Net income for the nine months increased to $4.

Revenue was up 80%, to $23.8 million from $13.2 million. Some second-quarter operating results related to the acquisitions of Professional Software Consultants Inc.

Data Processing Resources Corp. said its public offering of 2.1 million shares of common stock was priced at $17.50 each. A shareholder also is offering another 200,000 shares at the same price, the company said. The company, which provides information technology staffing services, said it plans to use the proceeds to open new branches and finance additional acquisitions. Data Processing's stock climbed $2.125 per share Wednesday to close at $20.125 in Nasdaq trading.

Data Processing Resources Corp. said Wednesday it is planning an offering of 2.2 million shares of common stock to generate funds for future acquisitions, opening new offices and other general purposes. Data Processing, which provides technology staffing services, also said it has agreed to acquire Dallas-based Leardata InfoServices Inc., another provider of technology staffing, for $19.8 million in cash and stock.
