Grant Fuhr stopped 25 shots and Joe Murphy and Petr Klima scored against their former teammates Monday night as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Detroit Red Wings 6-2. The Oilers, 5-1-1 in their last seven games, handed Detroit its 11th defeat in 16 games. Fuhr, who missed training camp and the early part of the season after an emergency appendectomy, improved his season record to 5-5-1.

Henrik Zetterberg scored the tiebreaking goal with 6:22 left to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night in Detroit. The Red Wings have won 13 straight at home, one off the franchise record set in 1964-65. San Jose 3, Washington 2 -- Joe Pavelski and Jonathan Cheechoo scored in a shootout and the visiting Sharks beat the Capitals for the 10th time in a row.
