Dita Von Teese, Emmy Rossum, Camilla Belle, Liz Goldwyn and Alessandra Ambrosio toasted springtime on Thursday afternoon at the Chateau Marmont at a luncheon hosted by Christian Louboutin . But the real guest of honor was a handbag, Louboutin's new Passage handbag, to be exact. The bag is sleek and graphic with an arch-shaped metal handle designed after the archways above the designer's first store, which opened in 1991 in  Paris' Passage Véro-Dodat .  After sipping pink Champagne in the garden, where a florist was busy twisting orchids, daisies and roses into flower crowns for everyone to wear, guests adjourned to a table covered in even more beautiful spring blooms.

Alexis Mabille showed his first collection as an official haute couture house early Wednesday evening. The terms “couture” and "haute couture" may be bandied about in the U.S., but few design houses can describe themselves as such in France. That determination can be made only by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture - French fashion's governing body - according to many considerations, including quality of course. Sitting front row in a rhinestone-dotted veil, burlesque artist Dita Von Teese said Mabille designed the costume for her new show, which premieres in February at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.

" And now, burlesque queen and fashion muse Dita Von Teese is designing her own capsule clothing line. The collection, available in sizes 4 to 16 and priced at $575 to $995, is being launched at Los Angeles vintage boutique Decades and online at www.shopdecadesinc.com, which is appropriate since the pieces are inspired by Von Teese's own vintage treasures.

Jean Paul Gaultier took inspiration from India for his spring-summer 2013 haute couture collection, shown Wednesday at his Paris atelier. Indian music accompanied his colorful gowns. For an extra touch of glamour, scarves floated behind a few models. Other styles bore Gaultier's signature cone bras and corsets. In the end, a lavishly embellished bride entered to the tune of the French classic, “La Vie En Rose,” only this time sung in Hindi. She paused awhile, then lifted her skirt to reveal four brightly clad children, who raced off down the runway.
