When your job involves keeping up with animals that have twice the number of legs as you, it's important to be in good shape. "Dog Whisperer" Cesar Millan doesn't have a vocation that involves much sitting in front of a computer; he's a man on the move as an advocate and trainer for human's best friend. He'll continue the legwork of chasing after quadrupeds with his new show, "Leader of the Pack," coming from Nat Geo Wild in the new year, and will sustain his exercise regimen to maintain the alpha role.

"The Kriegers have not been able to successfully implement Cesar's technique." There it is in black and white for all to see, on page 299 of the Dog Whisperer's "Ultimate Episode Guide." The sad truth. Our episode (titled "Raw Cotton") first aired more than two years ago. To this day, whenever I see a rerun, I cringe at the closing scene: me, boasting about Cesar Millan's method being "idiot simple." Apparently, not simple enough for this idiot.

The couple has two sons, 7-year-old Miles and 4-year-old Frederick. "The hands-on style of parenting we practice" - the onetime "Blossom" star is the author of a book on attachment parenting - "played no role in the changes that led to this decision," she wrote; "relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose.

Considering that reality programs comprise nearly half of prime-time television, the genre is still under-represented at the Emmys with its five top categories, if you count the nonfiction races. (The Emmys have about 100 contests overall.) This year, academy officials considered adding a new one for judges of reality competition shows but ultimately dropped the plan for now. Were they afraid Simon Cowell might win?

The Puppy Bowl is over. The Westminster Dog Show crowned a beagle king and came to a close. So where can the canine-obsessed go for their much-needed pooch fix, without resorting to yet another "Dog Whisperer" marathon? Look no further than "101 Dalmatians: Platinum Edition" ($30), a two-disc, newly restored version of the 1961 Disney classic about a mega-litter of pups attempting to escape the clutches of the wicked Cruella De Vil. Yes, I know. These are cartoon dogs, not the real thing.
