The jury is to be applauded for recognizing that Robin Elson and her children were being plundered daily by Jack Elson, not being merely "frustrated" as claimed by Denis Petty, the prosecutor. His suggestion that Mrs. Elson could have left the state is grossly irresponsible. With three children to protect from this loathsome man and years of abuse it would not have been an easy task to escape that house even if she had a sound body to do so.

Following the surrender of former Panama strongman Manuel Noriega Wednesday night, NBC said Thursday it was changing its promos of "Drug Wars: The Camarena Story" to include mention of Noriega's alleged ties to drug traffickers such as those depicted in the miniseries. The six-hour drama, which airs Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, tells the story of Enrique (Kiki) Camarena, a United States Drug Enforcement Administration agent whose abduction and murder in 1985 has been tied to drug lords in Mexico.
