The resulting cases of food poisoning were severe enough to halt production on the series Tuesday, but the show went on Wednesday.

ERAS Center for Learning Disabled was the beneficiary of a July 7 benefit held at Universal Amphitheatre. The Water Buffalo Club, a Westside charitable organization that sponsored the event, presented the keys to a $30,000 bus to Barbara Cull, executive director of the center. Leon Owens, Craig Wald and Marty Nislick were event co-chairs. * Almansor Center Auxiliary raised $30,000 at its June 10 benefit at the San Marino home of Davis and Patty Pillsbury.
