Styles on Video Inc. in Canoga Park said it completed the purchase of Dycam Inc., a Chatsworth company that makes digital cameras for use with computers, for about $5 million in stock. Styles, a computer-imaging concern, said acquiring Dycam enables it to take advantage of emerging interactive, multimedia technologies. Styles also said it intends to file a registration statement with the federal Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed stock offering of up to 1 million shares.

Styles on Video Inc. in Newbury Park has reached a preliminary agreement with privately held Hasco International Inc. for the sale to Hasco of its Forever Yours newborn-photography business. Forever Yours uses digital technology to take in-hospital photographs of infants. The cameras are provided by Dycam Inc., which is majority owned by Styles on Video. Hasco, through its First Foto operation, is the largest company in the newborn-photography field.

Styles on Video, a Newbury Park producer of a computer system used in beauty salons, will discontinue its main beauty imaging and franchising business to focus on its baby-photography and software operations. While winding down, Styles will continue to service the system, which alters a customer's picture to show how the customer would look with different hairstyles and hair colors. In the future, Styles plans to focus on Forever Yours Inc.

Styles on Video Inc., a Canoga Park supplier of computer systems that show hair and beauty salon customers before-and-after images, said it distributed rights to its shareholders giving them the ability to buy a total of 1 million shares of common stock in its Dycam Inc. subsidiary. Each Styles on Video shareholder of record at the close of business May 20 will receive one right for each five shares owned.

Wehner is chairman of the board, chief executive and a director of Granite Financial Inc., which merged with Fidelity National Financial Inc. in February.
