An aftershock struck the Southland at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, adding another temblor to the more than 8,000 that have followed the Northridge earthquake, Caltech reported. The magnitude 2.8 aftershock was centered four miles northwest of Chatsworth, said Robby Robb, a seismologist at Caltech. A magnitude 3.2 temblor in Inyo County Sunday night was unrelated to the Jan. 17 quake. That earthquake, which happened at 8:22 p.m., struck an area seven miles north-northeast of Little Lake at the China Lake U.
