The EUROPEAN COMMUNITY decided how it will divide $685 million in loans and grants to Egypt, Jordan and Turkey to help compensate for their losses from the Gulf conflict. Egypt will receive a grant of $240 million, Jordan a grant of $205 million and Turkey an interest-free loan of $240 million, the EC said in Brussels. Individual EC member nations earlier gave a total of $1.37 billion to the three states.
