Pacific International Inc., which offers interactive video conferencing to its mortgage loan program, said Monday it has changed its name to EMB Corp. to identify itself more closely with its principally owned subsidiary, Electronic Mortgage Banc Ltd. Its over-the-counter ticker symbol is EMBZ.

EMB Corp.'s Electronic Mortgage Banc Ltd. is planning to open regional offices in Dallas and Atlanta, EMB announced Thursday. EMB said it has entered into an agreement with Contex Inc. of Naples, Fla., which will provide a capital infusion of about $1 million for each regional office for start-up and other expenses. Additional terms were not disclosed. The offices will be part of a new Electronic Mortgage unit, EMB Mortgage South. EMB is a mortgage banking holding company.

Electronic Mortgage Banc Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific International Inc., said it will join with BLD Technologies of Dallas to sell and distribute its interactive loan-origination software. Electronic Mortgage uses Intel Corp.'s interactive video conferencing ProShare System to deliver its loan-origination software, M.A.X. (Mortgage Approval Xpress) directly to the consumer.
