Falcon Announces Joint Venture in India: Falcon International, a division of Los Angeles-based Falcon Holding Group, said it plans to acquire 100,000 cable subscribers in the greater Delhi area of India. Falcon's partner is the Hindustan Times Ltd., India's largest English-language newspaper. The Indian government approved the venture to buy and operate cable systems throughout the country.

The sound of music just got a little sweeter for the orchestras and bands of Agoura High School, the recipients of a $40,000 trove of new musical instruments donated by a cable music channel and a local cable provider. The gift of oboes, trombones, violins and other instruments will revitalize a music program that depends heavily on donations from corporations and booster groups, said Donald Zimring, the deputy superintendent of the Las Virgenes Unified School District.

General Dynamics Sues British Firm: General Dynamics Corp. filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Falcon International, which it accused of providing undocumented workers for a commercial airplane project. General Dynamics now faces federal charges that it violated the Immigration Reform and Control Act.

MCA Inc. parent Seagram Co. named former Capital Cities/ABC executive Joseph M. Fitzgerald as vice president of investor relations. Fitzgerald, previously vice president of investor relations at Cap Cities, will report to Seagram Vice Chairman Robert W. Matschullat. Separately, Seagram moved Maureen Hannan, former senior director of corporate planning, to its investor relations team.

Peter Tortorici, the former president of CBS Entertainment, has joined Carsey-Werner. Tortorici, who left CBS last summer to make way for incoming Leslie Moonves, will help supervise production of the company's four network programs, which include "Roseanne," "Grace Under Fire," "Cybill" and "3rd Rock From the Sun." He will also explore new business ventures for the company, including opportunities in merchandising and marketing, and in new media, such as creating Internet services.

For years, the company has made heat-resistant coatings for electrical cables and airtight sealants for aircraft fuel tanks. Now it is venturing into selling hot vermilion, fuchsia and crimson coatings for lips. Flamemaster, which reported 1984 sales of just under $3 million, is looking to diversify.
