Franchise Services Inc., the parent company of the Mission Viejo-based Sir Speedy quick-printing center chain, said it has acquired the Postal Instant Press Inc. chain for an undisclosed price. Agoura Hills-based Postal Instant Press, known as PIP Printing, operates 600 quick-printing centers in the U.S. Sir Speedy operates more than 800 units in the U.S. and 13 other countries. Combined revenue for the chains will exceed $700 million.

Franchise Services Inc., the parent company of the Sir Speedy quick-printing center chain, said Thursday it has acquired the Postal Instant Press Inc. chain for an undisclosed price. Agoura Hills-based Postal Instant Press, known as PIP Printing, operates 600 quick-printing centers across the country. Sir Speedy operates more than 800 units in the United States and 13 other countries. Combined revenue for the two chains will exceed $700 million.

* Newhall Land & Farming Co. appointed Trude A. Tsujimoto as secretary and general counsel. She replaces the retired Thomas H. Almas as secretary and fills the newly created position of general counsel. Tsujimoto joins Newhall Land from CB Richard Ellis Inc. of Los Angeles, where she was vice president, senior counsel and secretary. The Valencia-based company is a developer of new towns and master-planned communities.

* Richard E. Moran Jr., chief financial officer and executive vice president of Irvine Apartment Communities since its formation in 1993, has resigned to pursue other interests, the publicly traded company said. Moran will remain on call as a consultant through the end of the year, the company said. He is the second top executive to leave the Irvine Co.'s apartment-building unit in the past 18 months. Patrick Smith resigned as IAC's chief executive last year. Moran has worked for the Irvine Co.
