John Demjanjuk, who is accused of being a Nazi death camp guard, arrived in Germany on Tuesday from the United States to face charges that he participated in the killing of 29,000 Jews in 1943. Demjanjuk is No. 1 on a list of most-wanted war crimes suspects compiled by the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Here are some of the others. DR. Police continued their search Saturday for Marcus Fisher, the ex-boyfriend of the mother of a 6-year-old boy whose battered body was found in a South Los Angeles home. Meanwhile, an autopsy on Dae'von Bailey, whose body was found on the floor Thursday by relatives, could be performed as early as this morning, a coroner's official said. Lt. Vincent Neglia of the Los Angeles Police Department's Abused Child Unit said the boy had numerous injuries on his body in various states of healing, indicating that he was hurt over an extended period.

One of Italy's most wanted mafia bosses was arrested near Naples, police said. Salvatore Russo, 51, regarded as one of the 30 most wanted and dangerous mafia fugitives, had been on the run since 1995. A leading boss of the Camorra organized crime syndicate, which operates in and around Naples, Russo had been convicted and sentenced to life in prison for murder and criminal association. "This is a very heavy blow for the Camorra. We are closing the net on the super-fugitives," said Interior Minister Roberto Maroni.

Mexico has extradited 11 fugitives, accused of crimes including murder, sex offenses, drug trafficking and money laundering, to face trial in the United States, the Justice Department said. Justice said Mexico has extradited a record 100 fugitives to the United States this year. The fugitives include two wanted in Southern California: Gabriel Cabrera Lopez, charged in Riverside County for sex offenses against a child, and Arnoldo Vargas Esteves, charged in Riverside County with murder.

A Marine from the city of West Jordan has been placed on a list of fugitives after being declared a deserter for a second time just days before military court proceedings stemming from his earlier disappearance in Iraq. A mug shot of Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun, 24, has been posted on a Navy criminal justice website, which says he now uses the alias "Jafar." Hassoun was an Arabic translator in Iraq when he first disappeared from his post. He turned up in Lebanon, saying he had been kidnapped.
