The ongoing California Beach Bash '99 has plenty for the sun set: a pro volleyball tournament, contests for skateboarders and bicycle stunt riders, and live music. It also has super-babe Gabrielle Reece. Reece, at 6 feet, 3 inches, isn't hard to spot. She has appeared on the covers of Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and other magazines. She's also a top professional volleyball player, having been a regular on the tour for a few years.

LOOK out, the boys are back in town. 1. Jeremy Piven, left, Adrian Grenier and Kevin Connolly looked like the new-millennium Rat Pack at the April 5 season premiere at the Cinerama Dome of HBO's "Entourage," that show about a hot young Hollywood hunk and his posse living the life in El Lay. All the rooms in Brent Bolthouse's bash in Ivar Studio were decorated to suit the characters' personalities. A pool table and simulated driving range for Eric (Connolly). Dancers in silver lame bikinis for Turtle, played by Jerry Ferrara.

Kent Steffes, bronzed beach god, Olympic medalist, towering millionaire, is furious. From his aluminum chair, he roars about the stupidity and improbity of his fellow athletes, top players whom he blames for the rotten state of professional beach volleyball. "I want to find the truth," he declares. "One way is to depose people." It's the second day of a three-day volleyball tournament in Seal Beach in July featuring the most famous male players in the country.

Gabrielle Reece wants to be more than just a pretty face on the Bud Light 4-Woman Volleyball Tour. OK, she wants to be more than just a People Magazine's World's-50-Most-Beautiful-People face on the Bud Light 4-Woman Volleyball Tour. This is not a young woman playing professional volleyball for the paycheck, however. She has been a busy international model for five years and has graced every fashion magazine from Elle to Vogue.
