Irvine-based Go2 Systems Inc. today will announce an alliance giving the company's fast-growing addressing and locator system a prominent spot on a new Internet portal for wireless devices being launched by Bay Area start-up Neomar Inc. The new Neomar Mobile Portal, along with Go2 content, is available through American Mobile Satellite Corp.'

Irvine Internet service Go2 Systems Inc. said Tuesday it has secured $27 million in funding from a group led by Amdocs and Science Applications International Venture Capital Corp. Proceeds will be used to further develop and deploy Go2's wireless directory and other technologies, the company said.

Diedrich Coffee Inc. and the Johnny Rockets restaurant chain, both based in Irvine, have signed on as two of the first online merchants to be listed with Go2 Systems Inc., a new Internet service that made its debut last week. Registered Go2 merchants can provide specific information about each of their locations to consumers who are searching for the nearest outlet, as well as other information such as phone and fax numbers and maps. Companies pay a standard rate of $19.
