Gossiping is bad, right? Not so fast. Spreading information might have some positive effects, such as lowering stress -- if it's the right kind of gossip. A study published online recently in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that the way people gossiped in four experimental settings led to constructive outcomes. Researchers from UC Berkeley used the term "prosocial" gossip to describe people warning about deceitful behavior observed in others. It's different from the type of rumormongering we do when we talk about the bad behavior of celebrities, although let's not count that out as a good time.

Opening May 10, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's exhibition "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" will explore the link between 1930s era Italian fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli and her modern-day counterpart Miuccia Prada. Both designers have been informed by the whimsical motifs of surrealism.

Kanye West earns a living as a rap impresario and moonlights in fashion with women's apparel and sneaker design collaborations. But there's a new bullet point on his résumé: celebrity DJ. On New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, West climbed into the booth to spin the grand opening of 1 OAK — the Mirage hotel and casino edition of New York City's exclusive haunt from Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva. Under the name "Yeezyworldpeace," West played hits of his own (natch) like "Gold Digger," "Good Life" and the ubiquitous duet "… in Paris" with Jay-Z.

The two-story French Colonial, part of a 28-acre farm known as Marson Farms when it was constructed in 1937, sits on slightly more than half an acre.
