"Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles has listed his house in Brentwood at $3.495 million. The Mediterranean home, built in 1947 and recently renovated, sits on a walled site of about a third of an acre. The 2,636-square-foot main house features high ceilings, a loft library, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The two-story guesthouse has a gated entrance. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool with spa, a kitchen, a lawn and fruit trees. Ackles, 34, has played brother Dean Winchester on the series since 2005 and has directed a few episodes.

Former Yahoo Inc. chief executive Terry Semel and his wife, Jane, have put their Malibu beach home up for sale at $50 million. Sitting on a three-quarter-acre lot along Billionaire's Beach, named for its wealthy homeowners, the main house is entered through a three-story rotunda topped by a skylight. A copper-roofed screening pavilion doubles as the family den. There is also a two-story guesthouse for a total of nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and 10,317 square feet of living space.

The price that first-time homeowner Justin Bieber paid for his new digs in Calabasas has wended its way into the public record: $6.5 million. Set on 1.3 acres in a gated community, the 10,000-square-foot main house is described as "transitional French" in style. Features include a high-ceiling foyer, library, a movie theater with stadium seating, a wet bar and a wine cellar — just what every 18-year-old pop singer needs. Including a guesthouse, there are seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Actor Jesse Metcalfe has sold his house in the Beverly Crest area for $2 million, according to the Multiple Listing Service. The Mediterranean main house and guesthouse have 2,500 square feet of living space, including four bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms. Built in 1999, the house features stone fireplaces, plank wood floors and wood-beam ceilings. A stone hot tub sits on a hill above the home, which is surrounded by lawn and steppingstone pathways. A starburst pattern adorns the stone driveway.

"Chinatown" writer Robert Towne has listed his estate on the Westside at $12.995 million. Built in 1926 and designed for grand entertaining, the restored English country-style mansion and guesthouse have seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 10,000 square feet of living space. The nearly three-quarter-acre property is wooded and includes a swimming pool, a rose garden and a spice garden. Towne, 77, won an Oscar for original screenplay in 1975 for the Jack Nicholson-starring film about land and water rights disputes.

Actress Priscilla Barnes, who was cast as a replacement roommate in the '80s sitcom "Three's Company," must have taken her role as a renter to heart. Barnes and her husband, Ted Monte, have become first-time homeowners with the purchase of a gated compound in Glendale for its asking price of $689,000. The property is more than a third of an acre and includes a main house, a guesthouse and stables. The main residence contains two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is one bedroom and one bathroom in the guesthouse.

The contemporary Mediterranean, built in 1985, occupies a half-acre lot with a two-bedroom guesthouse, a swimming pool and a cabana. The 9,200-square-foot house features a two-story foyer, a library with a wet bar, a theater with a wet bar, a gym and four en suite bedrooms for a total of five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Katzenberg, 61, owns another Beverly Hills estate that he bought in 2009 for $35 million.
