Thousands of "Hannah Montana" fans who couldn't get concert tickets are suing the teen performer's fan club over memberships they claim were supposed to give them priority for seats. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a New Jersey woman and anyone else who joined the Miley Cyrus Fan Club based on its promise that joining would make it easier to get concert tickets from the teen star's website.

A Los Angeles comedy writer-producer has sued Walt Disney Co., claiming it stole the idea for its hit show "Hannah Montana" from him. The lawsuit said that in late 2001, Morris Taylor Sheffield pitched an idea for a show on the Disney Channel about a boy named Roland Dillard who leads a secret life as a pop star named Rock Ryder. Disney passed. In 2006, the Disney Channel launched "Hannah Montana," about a teenage girl who leads a secret life as a pop star.

MILEY CYRUS doesn't look like a mouse. Or a befuddled bear. Or even a princess. But make no mistake, like Mickey, Winnie the Pooh and Snow White before her, she is a Disney franchise. Cyrus is the star of "Hannah Montana," a Disney Channel half-hour sitcom following the travails of Miley Stewart, a young girl living in Malibu who also happens to be pop star Hannah Montana.
