Harcourt Cos., FTC Reach Agreement: The Federal Trade Commission said the Los Alamitos marketing company has agreed to stop selling a cigarette-like product as a safe alternative to cigarettes. The FTC said that the alternative cigarettes, made from a type of lettuce and sold under the name Jazz, were not safe because smokers inhaled tar and carbon monoxide. In settling the false advertising charges with the government, neither Harcourt Cos.
