One of the big questions following WWE commentator/wrestler Jerry Lawler's heart attack during "Monday Night Raw" this week was whether he suffered any brain damage as a result. Doctors performed multiple CT scans on him, and got the results back Wednesday morning: No brain damage at all. As Lawler's ex-wife, Stacy Carter, wrote on her Facebook page: "Great news for Jerry!!! The results from the test are in. He has NO brain damage!!!! I'm not sure what the next step is or when he can go home, but this is such awesome news!

Jerry Lawler, who suffered a heart attack during "Monday Night Raw" earlier this week, is being slowly taken off sedation and had his ventilator removed, but remains in serious but stable condition at a Montreal hospital on Wednesday. He had surgery Tuesday to have three stents put in his coronary arteries. Lawler can blink, nod and squeeze with his hands, but doctors still aren't sure as to the extent of the damage, if any, done to his brain until they get all the tests back Wednesday morning.

Commentator Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack Monday during a live broadcast of WWE's "Monday Night Raw" in Montreal. The 62-year-old Lawler, nicknamed "The King," was stricken as he and announcing partner Michael Cole were providing commentary during a tag-team match featuring Kane and Daniel Bryan versus The Prime Time Players. Midway through the match, the commentary suddenly stopped and snoring sounds could be heard. In the background of one TV shot, Lawler could be briefly glimpsed slumping over in his chair as several people in the stands turn their attention to the announcers' table.

Commentator Jerry Lawler, who suffered a heart attack Monday during a live broadcast of WWE's "Monday Night Raw" in Montreal, was immediately aided by medical personnel at ringside, who performed CPR on the stricken announcer/wrestler. In the video above, you can see medical technicians working on Lawler, then eight men carry Lawler away from ringside to a waiting stretcher, which takes him backstage. Because of the physical nature of their shows, WWE always has medical personnel on standby, a fact that may have saved Lawler's life.

Is there something fishy going on with omega-3 fatty acids? For years, major health and medical organizations have recommended fish oil supplements rich in omega-3s to reduce the threat of heart disease. In Europe, where support is particularly enthusiastic, a doctor's failure to recommend the supplements is viewed by some as bordering on malpractice. But several recent studies have raised questions about the benefits of fish oil, sparking no small amount of confusion. A report published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Assn.

Jerry Lawler, who had a heart attack Monday during a live broadcast of WWE's "Monday Night Raw," is in the Cardiac Care Unit at a Montreal hospital and is heavily sedated after undergoing a coronary angioplasty procedure. He remains in critical but stable condition. In the procedure, a balloon was put in at least one of Lawler's clogged coronary arteries to open it. A small wire tube was then inserted to help prevent the artery from closing again. "As of this morning, Jerry "The King" Lawler is in a cardiac care unit and all his vital signs are stable," the WWE said in a statement.

Former USC football player Armond Armstead filed a lawsuit against the school and other defendants Thursday, claiming he received improperly administered painkilling injections that caused him to suffer a heart attack and hurt his chances for an NFL career. The University Park Health Center and James Tibone, the Trojans' team physician, and an unnamed pharmaceutical company also are named as defendants in a 38-page lawsuit that was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. The suit also claims that USC representatives concealed the injections from other physicians and also hindered Armstead's attempt to transfer to another school for his senior season and to be drafted by an NFL team.

Rosie O'Donnell and Michelle Rounds are married, though they have yet to celebrate with a dream wedding, the former talk-show host announced in a blog post Monday. "[W]e married in private / before her surgery / just the 2 of us," O'Donnell wrote in her usual free-form style.  The two, who announced their engagement in December, had planned to wed in August. They moved up the date to June 9, right before Rounds' first of several surgeries to remove gastrointestinal desmoid tumors, O'Donnell's rep told People . On her blog, O'Donnell noted that the scheduling change was fortunate, "as i was in ICU" on the date they'd originally earmarked, 10 days ago. On Aug. 14 she suffered a heart attack, though she didn't immediately see a doctor.
