Grammy-winning blues-rock guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed early Monday in a Wisconsin helicopter crash whose circumstances offered an eerie parallel to rock's most famous air tragedy--the 1959 crash involving Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. (the Big Bopper) Richardson.

A memorial service for Creative Artists Agency booking agent Bobby Brooks, 34, who was killed Monday in a Wisconsin helicopter accident along with guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn and three others, is scheduled for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. The service will be held in the Universal Amphitheater. Brooks is survived by his wife, Barbara Cane of Los Angeles, and his parents, Hugh and Savina Brooks, and a sister, Alison, all of Montclair, N.J.
