It's been a hit TV movie, a bestselling soundtrack album and a sold-out concert event. Now "High School Musical" is mutating to the big screen. The Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group announced Thursday that "Haunted High School Musical" is in the works. Other than saying it would be released next year, however, the studio provided no details about the film.

Peter Barsocchini is a screenwriter who a few years ago took what he thought was a small assignment to write a kids' TV musical so he could entertain his preteen daughter, Gabriella, even naming the female lead after her. That small assignment for Disney Channel turned into "High School Musical," and more recently "High School Musical 2," which became a global entertainment phenomenon -- and one of the most lucrative payouts a Hollywood writer has ever received for a single property.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has his mobility back, and along with it, his starting spot. About the reception he'll receive Sunday from fickle Eagles fans, McNabb is unsure and even somewhat indifferent. He had his first full workout Wednesday since spraining his right ankle and jamming his thumb against Miami two weeks ago.
