Community input is being sought on the future of the city's housing rehabilitation loan program, which provides federal funds to local property owners for home repairs. A meeting to solicit ideas, questions and comments from the public is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in the conference center at the Brea Civic & Cultural Center, 1 Civic Center Circle. Low-income residents of San Juan Capistrano will have an opportunity to request federal funding for home improvements in a public meeting this evening at City Hall. The 7:30 p.m. meeting of the Community Development Block Grant Committee will determine which projects are recommended to the City Council for grant money applications. The council will consider the recommendations at a Nov. 7 public hearing.
