A no contest was declared in the seventh race at Canterbury Downs Thursday when a rider thrown from his horse couldn't be removed in time to avoid being trampled. Jarvis Hightower fell from his mount, Vent de Nord, about 20 yards into the race after being bumped by a trailing horse, track spokesman J.G. Preston said. The field was scheduled to race 1 mile 70 yards over the 1-mile track.
