The iconic and storied Hotel Georgia, part of the Vancouver skyline since 1927, is set to reopen Friday under management by the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts luxury group. The Canadian hotel had been shuttered for renovations during the last five years. The 155-room Georgian Revival-style hotel includes more than 100 crystal chandeliers, a spa, an indoor swimming pool, a jazz lounge and Hanksworth, a restaurant helmed by Chef David Hanksworth. Among past guests, according to the hotel, have been Elvis Presley, Nat "King" Cole, Katharine Hepburn, Louis Armstrong, the Rolling Stones and British royalty.
