The White House confirmed Tuesday that Garrett would be included among a round of network interviews that the president is giving today in Beijing. Why do you choose to glorify convicted felon Tupac Shakur on the cover of Calendar? (Q&A With Tupac Shakur, Calendar, Oct. 25). I don't care how "best-selling" his music is, the man has a long criminal record. What do you think teens think when they see a nice big picture of him with a long interview? That it's OK to be on the wrong side of the law? Sexual abuse and alleged weapons violations are nothing to laugh at, yet because this man makes millions, he gets front-page press. Why don't you ever appeal to the population who finds him, and others like him, morally reprehensible and stop printing garbage like this?

Herman Cain may have picked a powerful enemy in New Hampshire on Thursday, skipping a scheduled interview with the Union Leader newspaper during a brief visit to the state. The cancellation came just days after Cain struggled mightily with a question about Libya during a videotaped interview with reporters and editors from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Many Republicans in the first-in-the-nation primary state, who expect multiple face-to-face interactions with the presidential candidates, were already unhappy that Cain has been spending considerable time in other states without early primaries.

When President Obama announced his new stance on same-sex marriage Wednesday, he did so to a friendly and familiar media figure for his administration - Robin Roberts of ABC's “Good Morning America.” Roberts has had a series of exclusives with Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, that began on the night of his inauguration. With the occasional intrusion of policy matters, most of the interviews have been light and nonconfrontational. In the brief Jan. 21, 2009, inauguration night interview, Obama told Roberts that “ultimately the American people coming together, that is going to determine what we accomplish and how we get through some very difficult challenges.” A couple of months later, Roberts interviewed Michelle Obama as she traveled to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina to visit military families.
