Tired and annoyed by all the alerts and red notification circles that keep appearing on your iPhone or iPad? Fortunately, you can easily turn them off or adjust them so they don't appear as often. Do Not Disturb A new feature on iOS 6 called Do Not Disturb lets you turn them off temporarily. It also shuts off text message alerts and phone calls when your device is locked unless a person calls you twice within three minutes, just in case it's an emergency. This feature is useful when you want to get some sleep or if you're trying to concentrate on work and don't want to be distracted.

Apple chief designer Jony Ive is reportedly leading a significant interface redesign of Mac OS X, the software used for the company's desktop and laptop computers. The redesign is expected to be unveiled in June at the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference, where Apple typically makes its software announcements. Apple will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 2-6 in San Francisco, the company announced Thursday. WWDC is scheduled to take place once again at the Moscone Center and include hundreds of sessions, labs and events for third-party developers who create apps for Apple's mobile and computer operating systems. After Apple unveiled the new look of its iOS 7 mobile operating system earlier this month, many in the design world criticized the platform. But a series of online polls this week show many users like the icons featured in the upcoming operating system more than those in iOS 6. The polling service Polar is hosting a series of polls comparing icons on iOS 6 with their iOS 7 counterparts. In most of the polls, users are choosing the new operating system, and when votes from all of the polls are added up together, more go for iOS 7. Out of the 289,000 votes cast so far, 66% favor iOS 7 icons, according to Polar.

Clutch.io, an iOS app A/B testing company, announced that it's been acquired by Twitter. The company, which launched in November, according to its Twitter account, said it was joining Twitter, early Monday. Starting next month, United Airlines will let users watch hundreds of movies and TV shows free on their laptops and Apple iOS mobile devices. The airline said customers with compatible devices will be able to watch more than 150 movies and nearly 200 TV shows without having to pay any fees. A British design artist has created an iPhone 6 concept video that shows what users might expect from Apple when the tech giant announces its next iPhone. The video shows an "iPhone Air" that features a 4.7-inch full 1080p HD screen. The device in the video is also 0.28 inches thick, about 9% thinner than the iPhone 5s, and 8% larger, to accommodate the bigger screen.
