Have Jason Aldean and his wife, Jessica Ussery, split up? According to one source, they have. According to his rep, they're just having a "rough time. " Signs of said rough time came in early October, when the country singer took to Facebook to apologize for smooching Brittany Kerr, a onetime "American Idol" contestant-turned-NBA cheerleader, at a bar on the Sunset Strip. (Seems that's what you've got to do when incriminating pictures are taken and posted online.) "The truth is that I screwed up," Aldean wrote at the time.

EARL Ofari Hutchinson can be an astute political observer but when it comes to Hollywood, he's out of his element ("The Curious Case of the Star Who Isn't There," Sept. 15). When "The Pianist" was first released, all the paid advertising stressed director Roman Polanski -- not its then unknown star, Adrien Brody.

In the new sci-fi movie "After Earth," the real-life father-son duo of Will and Jaden Smith play the fictional father-son duo of Cypher and Kitai Raige, two space-faring humans whose ship crashes on a perilous, long-abandoned Earth about 1,000 years in the future. Cypher suffers two broken legs, while Kitai comes out in one piece and embarks on a journey to save them. But when it comes to reviews of "After Earth," neither the elder Smith (who is also a producer on the film) nor Jaden -- nor director M. Night Shyamalan -- has emerged unscathed.

They were spotted having lunch at Café Nero in London and having a chaperoned sushi dinner at Nobu with Big Will. Both incidents were documented by papz and have led to dating rumors.

Now, the Ministry heard a "no" the first time around when Pinkett Smith was asked flat-out, "Is it true?" but we appear to have been in the minority. So much so that Jada took to Facebook over the weekend to try to explain herself, framing her comments as a discussion of trust and love. Or, as she put it, TRUST and LOVE. Can you hear her now?

In a movie in which people have proper names for their private parts, this seems an odd question.
