Actor James Brolin, star of the television series "Marcus Welby, M.D.," walked away unhurt from his single-engine plane Friday seconds before it burst into flames after it crashed on takeoff at Agua Dulce Airport, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies reported. Brolin, 49, was alone in his Cessna 182 when a gust of wind from behind forced the plane off the runway at the airport, about 14 miles northeast of Saugus, at 4:20 p.m., authorities said. The plane flipped down an embankment.

The 49-year-old actor was alone in the 1978 Cessna 182 when a gust of wind from behind forced the plane off the runway about 4:20 p.m., authorities said.

A 28-year-old celebrity photographer was being held in lieu of $1-million bail Sunday after Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said he stalked Barbra Streisand and her husband, James Brolin, from the San Fernando Valley to Malibu. The man, identified as Wendall Wall, was arrested about 4:20 p.m. Saturday and booked on suspicion of stalking, said sheriff's spokesman Mark Bailey. Streisand and Brolin told deputies they were driving on the Ventura Freeway about 2 p.m.

"The Finish Line" is being produced by Los Angeles-based Phoenix Entertainment for Turner Network Television, a new cable channel that made its debut Monday.

CAROL BURNETT, whose TV special "The Carol Burnett Show: A Reunion" will be broadcast at 9 tonight on CBS, has put her Honolulu house on the market at $3.45 million and is renting in Santa Fe, where she plans to build a home. Burnett, whose production company has a contract with CBS to develop such projects as her special tonight, has been called "the queen of TV revue comedy" because of her series, which won 22 Emmys while airing from 1966 to 1977.

Actor Josh Brolin was cited for misdemeanor domestic battery over the weekend after his wife, actress Diane Lane, called police during an argument at the couple's home. Brolin, the son of actor James Brolin and stepson of Barbra Streisand, was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday and released on $20,000 bail, Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office, said Monday. The city attorney is reviewing the case, and no charges have been filed, he said.
