Right from the start, everything seemed to go haywire last season, Wyatt's first as Woodbridge High School's starting quarterback. A short pass, perhaps? Wyatt was predictable but successful, throwing a 10-yard touchdown pass to tight end John Sansevero with 17 seconds left as Woodbridge rallied for a 13-7 victory Thursday night in the season opener for both teams at Irvine High School.

The teams played five quarters of football--four by the varsity and one by the junior varsity--but there were no kickoffs. "It was disappointing, because we thought we would play it like a game," Woodbridge Coach Rick Gibson said. "They had to call it a 'jamboree,' which is another word for scrimmage, so it wouldn't count on their schedule.
