Kuwait will soon receive about $225,000 worth of emergency aid from Japan, the Foreign Ministry announced. The ministry had earlier said that Kuwait was too wealthy to qualify for Japanese aid, but it made an exception in view of the risk of epidemics in the war-ravaged country. The aid is to be given in the form of first-aid kits, blankets and electrical generators.
