Beyonce was the universal buzz at the first annual BET Experience, which kicked off Friday in Los Angeles. The pop diva opened the three-day festival with the U.S. debut of her Mrs. Carter Show tour. But earlier in the day, it was all about who had the golden ticket as scalpers roamed the L.A. Live complex in Downtown L.A. looking for extras to buy and then sell. The BET Experience was also set to feature shows by Mike Epps and Erykah Badu on Friday, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole on Saturday and ending with the BET Awards and a show by R. Kelly on Sunday.

No Mirrorball rose for him. At the end of the eighth week of ballroom competition, newly engaged "Bachelor" Sean Lowe and his pro partner Peta Murgatroyd found themselves unable to muster up enough viewer votes and were thus ejected from the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 16 glitterverse. To be fair, this elimination was somewhat of a reprieve for the reality show star. Sure, he didn't make it into the semifinals. But Sean and Peta had been unable to rise up from the bottom of the pack for some time now, and this week the judges even commented that he had taken a couple flat-footed steps back in his performances (“I wish I could have a redo on this one,” Sean said after his tango)

For some, it's a tossup between the Ewoks and Jar Jar Binks for who is more of a disturbance in the Force. Oh, wait. Another galactic controversy might soon make its way to a screen near you: It's called Kinect Star Wars . The new $50 controller-free game hits the market today, but posts , clips and comments have been making the rounds online. What's the big deal? Well, apparently the game has Yoda, padawan training, lightsaber combat, pod racing, a Rancor monster, Force moves, Leia, speeder bikes and a dance battle between Han Solo and Lando Calrissian.

Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Miguel and Demi Lovato are among the chart-toppers slated to perform at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango concert May 11. The annual day-long fan jam at Carson's Home Depot Center stuffs a who's who of current Top 40 (and a few buzzy emerging acts) onto one stage.   Mars will open the festival, now in its 16 th year, which will be hosted by pop purveyor Ryan Seacrest. The multi-hyphenate personality is expected to be joined by guest host Britney Spears. Spears is well-versed with the teen-attracting show, having performed at it twice.

Peter Gabriel "Scratch My Back" Real World . There seems to be two motivations behind Peter Gabriel's new album, one playful and the other more serious. The first gives the project its title: Gabriel covered compositions by 12 working artists, including David Bowie, Neil Young, Arcade Fire and the Magnetic Fields. He also invited them to plumb his own catalog for an upcoming answer record titled "I'll Scratch Yours." Some have called this proposition opportunistic, a way for Gabriel to both reassert his place alongside more iconic elders and make a DNA connection with arty youngsters.
