Jay Z has broken his silence over pressure to shutter his forthcoming holiday collection for Barneys New York, and the hip-hop mogul says he's being unfairly “demonized” for not responding to protests. After two high-profile incidents of young shoppers -- both of whom were black -- being questioned after purchases from Barneys, an online protest emerged calling on the multi-platinum star to withdraw his support from the luxury retailer. Change.org, a site that has previously taken rappers like Rocko, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne to task over controversial lyrics, launched the petition last week and have already garnered more than 16,300 signatures.

After two high-profile incidents of young African Americans being questioned after shopping at Barneys, Jay Z's forthcoming collection for the luxury retailer arrives at an awkward time . Hov's new high-end fashion line for the department store, which debuts Nov. 20, includes a $70 T-shirt and a nearly $34,000 watch. But if several recent high-profile incidents are a sign, the young, hip-hop savvy shopper the line is geared toward might find that purchasing the items could be very unpleasant.

Jay Z: Rapper, music mogul, businessman and family man. The Grammy-winning musician opened up about wife Beyonce and daughter Blue Ivy in the November issue of Vanity Fair. The magazine threw back to the 2001 issue in which he and his wife both landed the cover, and Hova revealed that's when they "were just beginning to try to date each other. " "Well, you know, you've got to try first. You got to dazzle . . . wine and dine," he told the mag's Lisa Robinson, who wondered if he would have been as successful with Bey had he been a ga s station attendant.

Justin Timberlake was already pop royalty six months ago when he released "The 20/20 Experience," his first solo album since 2006 and the anchor for one of the most sustained promotional campaigns in recent memory. But that was before the record sold more than 2 million copies, more than any other this year, and before Timberlake played a string of sold-out stadium shows with Jay Z. And it was before Timberlake reenergized his loyal subjects by revealing that "20/20" was only the first half of a two-part project - yet another reason he fairly proclaimed himself "the king" onstage at this month's iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon know just how #ridiculous the hashtag frenzy has become. Timberlake, 32, who's all over the media this week promoting the next installment of his album "The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2," out Monday, appeared in a pre-recorded segment for "Late Night" on Tuesday just to have a little hashtag conversation about what he and his "History of Rap" collaborator have been up to. The kicker? They utilized the overwrought social media colloquialism in an everyday verbal repartee.

Jay Z and Beyonce can flaunt all they want -- the husband and wife have been named Forbes' highest-earning celebrity couple for the second year in a row. The music moguls, who married in 2008, locked in an estimated $95 million in earnings in the past year, the mag said .  The magazine compiled the list by talking to managers, agents, producers and other "in-the-know folks" to get the estimates between June 2012 and June 2013. However, the earnings do not take into account taxes, agents fees and other celebrity-releated expenses.

TORONTO -- Ron Howard and Jay Z aren't names you'd expect to find in the same sentence, much less people you'd figure would one day work together.
