Sometimes office life can be a drag -- so if the mundane sounds of phones ringing and typing on keyboards become insufferable, consider joining us today as we chat with "The Office" alum Jenna Fischer at 11 a.m. Pacific time. (Non-office drones are also welcome, of course). For nine seasons, Fischer schlepped around the Dunder Mifflin offices as lowly Pam Beesly-turned-Halpert. Jenna Fischer, who for nine seasons played warm-hearted office drone Pam Beesly-turned-Halpert on NBC's "The Office," joined us for a video chat Thursday morning to reminisce about the comedy as it anticipates whether its final-hurrah season gets recognition this awards season. "The Office" ended its run in May. The comedy, which seemed doomed in its beginning, would go on to become the pillar of NBC's Thursday night prime time. Seated in her sublet apartment in NYC - squeezing in time before taking the stage on Neil LaBute's "Reasons to Be Happy" - Fischer reflected on life after bidding the Dunder Mifflin offices adieu (yes, she's still texting her co-stars)

For Jenna Fischer, "The Office" might be closed, but the nursery door is wide open: The actress is pregnant again. The baby, due this summer, will be her second with screenwriter hubby Lee Kirk, according to Us Weekly , which first reported the news. Fischer and Kirk welcomed son Weston Lee on Sept. 24, 2011. Coincidentally, John Krasinski, who played Fischer's character's love interest on "The Office," welcomed a new baby, Hazel, with wife Emily Blunt on Feb. 16. YOU can imagine the poor schlubs from "The Office" throwing their annual office party. "If Pam was planning it," says Jenna Fischer, imagining her role as the receptionist on the popular television series, "she'd probably book it at Poor Richard's. Poor Richard's is a real place in Scranton, and it also has a bowling alley attached. So it would actually be ideal because everyone from the office could eat and then bowl together."

AFTER graduating from Missouri's Truman State University in 1995 with a degree in theater, Jenna Fischer gave herself a deadline when she had to leave her home in St. Louis and move to Los Angeles to pursue acting. "I had a goal," she said. "I had to move in May 1996 or [earn] $10,000, whichever came first. I moved back home for about 10 months [after graduating] and worked full time as a secretary. May came around and I made it $8,000. So I said, 'I guess I'm moving.'

The show's over. Madonna has sold her mansion in Beverly Hills for $19.5 million. The single MLS listing photo offered only an aerial view, and agents and their clients who toured the home were among the few who have had a look inside. Those expecting the gabled-roofed home to have a gothic air were disappointed. "Tastefully decorated" was the word in real estate circles. During nearly a decade of ownership, the pop icon went on a spending spree, rebuilding and expanding the estate, which was completed in 2010.

Back in fall 2003, the producers of the NBC remake of the British hit "The Office" were looking for comic actors to work at their fictional paper company. Eventually, the top roles went to relative unknowns Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski and Steve Carell in the star-making role of Michael Scott. But those actors didn't just waltz into the roles. They auditioned and competed against a large number of other, equally talented performers for the roles. And in the 10 years since those auditions, many of those actors and actresses have gone on to establish successful careers outside of the friendly confines of the Dunder-Mifflin office in Scranton, Pa. Which is probably why the producers of the recently ended hit felt comfortable releasing their original audition tapes.

Did you know that "Scandal's" Kerry Washington fully endorses an Olivia Pope clothing line? Or that Jeff Daniels' "Newsroom" anchor will become obsessed with Twitter this season? (Hold on while we tweet that.) Or that "Elementary's" Lucy Liu is obsessed with the idea of Twitter, even though she still hasn't (as of this writing) come down from the mountain with her first official tweet? In the past few weeks, we've been enjoying live chats with Emmy contenders - we have one with "How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris Wednesday at 1 p.m. PST. We ask questions - including many from readers - about their work on their hit shows as well as a variety of other subjects, like, say, "Walking Dead" star David Morrissey's recent trip to Graceland.
