She hardly makes a red carpet misstep, so it's no surprise that Jennifer Garner had picture-perfect hair at Saturday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her longtime stylist Adir Abergel decided to go with an airy, romantic updo that had movement and swept off the face in order to elongate her neck. He started the hairstyle by spraying Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray all over Garner's head to create a rougher texture to the hair and to help keep the actress' bangs back off her face.

Consuming celebrity news, you might think that nothing is off-limits to the prying eyes of the paparazzi. In late January, actors Dax Shepard and his wife Kristen Bell launched a campaign on Twitter to end harassment they face from the paparazzi for pictures of their baby. Using the hashtags #pedorazzi and #NoKidsPolicy , Shepard and Bell called on the celebrity gossip media industry to stop using these images and for fans to stop buying them.  Some media outlets took the tweeting seriously.

Jennifer Garner rose to fame playing a hard-edged CIA agent on the television show "Alias," but in recent years, she's gravitated toward less action-heavy roles. From "Juno" to her upcoming movie, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," the actress has showed off a softer side of herself on the big screen. In "Timothy Green," which hits theaters Aug. 15, she plays a wife struggling with infertility issues who has a child magically sprout from her backyard. In real life, of course, Garner is a mother of three with husband Ben Affleck.

Actresses Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner testified in Sacramento on Tuesday in support of a bill aimed at protecting the children of celebrities and public officials from paparazzi. Senate Bill 606, proposed by Sen. Kevin DeLeon (D-Los Angeles), would change the legal definition of harassment to include any conduct that "alarms, annoys torments or terrorizes" a child while photographing or recording that child without express parental consent. The legislation specifically mentions photography that involves "following the child's activities or lying in wait" and targeting a child because of a parent's line of work.  The actresses said they appeared before the legislative committee as mothers concerned for the safety of their children, who aren't celebrities.

Thanks to an online auction that allowed bidding to continue long after the music had faded, the amount raised by last month's John Varvatos Stuart House fundraiser hosted by honorary co-chairs Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner has topped $950,000 -- the largest amount in the annual event's decade-long history. The tally stood at an already-impressive $830,000 the day after the March 10 charity event and raised primarily through a spirited live auction. Pepping up the atmosphere was a live performance by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.
