Twihards across the globe await the Friday release of “Breaking Dawn Part II,” the fifth and final movie in the “Twilight” franchise, with a mixture of feverish anticipation and deep sadness as they prepare to say goodbye to Edward and Bella. On Tuesday, Jimmy Kimmel - who doesn't really strike us as the Twihard type - expressed his excitement over the movie. In particular, he was impressed by the young actress who plays Renesmee, Edward and Bella's daughter. “She really steals the movie,” he said.

Jimmy Kimmel has received tepid reviews for his Emmy Awards hosting gig, but if you're counting the star support behind him? He was a smash. Following his gig Sunday at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, Kimmel shut down West Hollywood's Soho House, inviting winners and friends to join him at the exclusive space.  Robert Pattinson, dressed in his uniform of denim and a baseball cap, showed with a male pal and enjoyed conversation with a small group...

ABC is rushing to make amends after a "Jimmy Kimmel Live" skit this month jokingly proposed killing "everyone in China" to help solve America's financial problems. In the taped piece that aired Oct. 16, host Kimmel sat down with school kids to discuss the government shutdown. When asked what should be done about America's debts to China, a boy replied that one solution might be to "kill everyone in China. " (The entire video can be seen here .) Kimmel chuckled and said, "That's an interesting idea.

Jimmy Kimmel's week in Brooklyn got off to a rough start, but Wednesday's show may just have made up for all the storm business: He finally got the chance to meet his idol, David Letterman. The “Late Show” host made the journey from the Ed Sullivan Theater in Midtown Manhattan to Brooklyn on Wednesday, a seven-mile trip that took him an hour and 25 minutes, thanks to Sandy-induced gridlock. It was a rare crossover appearance for Letterman, and his first-ever visit to “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Kimmel made no effort to play it cool.

Remember that "save the date" rumor about Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, back in February? It turns out the date to save was Saturday, when the two renewed their vows at sunset on St. Lucia island in the Caribbean. Officiating was Damon's late-night frenemy, Jimmy Kimmel, according to People . Overall, it was quite the contrast to their low-key city hall ceremony in late 2005. The Damons, who met 10 years ago, spent $1 million to rent out the entire Sugar Beach resort for the pleasure of their approximately 50 guests, People reported (though other sources put the bill at a more modest $600,000)

Sorry, world: You've been had.  If you're one of the 9 million or so inhabitants of Planet Earth who watched this video last week and laughed out loud at the spectacle of a girl whose sexy "twerking" home video turns into an epic fiery disaster, then the joke's on you.  On Monday night, Jimmy Kimmel revealed that not only was the video staged, as many viewers suspected but perhaps didn't want to believe, but that he was the mastermind...

After the coffee. Before corrupting the youth of America. The Skinny: I'm going to talk journalism to students at Cal State Los Angeles later today. I'll try to keep it clean and not be too cynical. Today's roundup includes a new look for Netflix and Hulu's new strategy. Also, Jimmy Kimmel's joke about China may blow up in Disney's face and "Fifty Shades of Grey" gets its release date pushed. Daily Dose: NBC wants to remake "Murder, She Wrote," even though its recent efforts to recapture past TV glory have fallen short.

Monday morning's 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Angelenos out of bed and reminded them that their city is prone to being shaken up from time to time. But as far as the "Big One"? Well, not even the brightest seismologists can foresee when the next earthquake might strike. But that didn't stop Jimmy Kimmel from once again duping his favorite gullible strangers: the innocent men and women of Hollywood Boulevard. On Tuesday night's show, Kimmel sent his camera crew out for another installment of "Lie Witness News," in which average passersby are asked to comment on news events that have never happened.
